Less than one week to go…

My first look at the paperbacks this week as they arrived, freshly printed. Spot the seven-spot ladybird and woodlouse who joined in the photoshoot (friend’s of Harry’s presumably…).

Lords-and-ladies, not edible. Ivy, not edible. Bracket fungi, questionable.

Not Alone out in paperback in just a few weeks (28th April 2024)

This is the cover for the UK paperback version of Not Alone! The designers and publishers work so hard to make things look right for the book - and I really think this suits the story (and I love book covers, I spend many hours pouring over them in book shops, whilst I try not to buy too many books…). It’s striking yet minimal with its silhouettes that makes me think of classic scifi covers too. I’m glad the image of Katie and Harry on their journey is carried over from the Hardback cover—this, their hands joined, Katie trying to get him where she feels he needs to be—her love, her determination—is the heart and soul of the story. And the colours - red, yellow and the muted blue-grey swirl of sky will be part of their world’s visuals as you turn the pages...

I hope the paperback finds its way to its readers.
